The prevention

The shatunno-piston group is recommended to be changed on the dismantled engine at full dismantling. If works are carried out on the car it is necessary to remove a head of cylinders and the pallet.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The piston with a rod is pushed out through the top part of the block of cylinders after отворачивания bolts шатунных covers and fillet removal in the top part of the cylinder. Rods are marked under cylinder number. Covers of rods before removal should be numbered. Rings remove the special adaptation.
2. Clear pistons, having removed a deposit.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check up ovality and конусность cylinders. For this purpose check up diameter of cylinders, having measured it in longitudinal and cross-section directions concerning an engine axis, in three places – it is direct under a fillet, in the bottom part of the cylinder and in the middle.
2. If конусность and ovality within norm, cylinders отхоннингуйте. Otherwise cylinders it is necessary to chisel and replace pistons and rings repair (these procedures are carried out in car-care centre).
3. Check up deformation of a demountable plane of the block of cylinders. If the deviation from a plane is more 0,1 mm, the block прошлифуйте.
4. Check up a piston condition. Presence of cracks about a skirt, and also deep appreciable scratches and рисок on a lateral surface is not supposed.
5. Measure diameter of the piston in a direction perpendicular axes of a piston finger at skirt level. Define a backlash between the piston and the cylinder. If a backlash above norm the piston replace. If at replacement of the piston the backlash mismatches norm chisel cylinders and replace pistons repair.
6. Check up a backlash between компрессионными rings and a flute in the piston. If the backlash is a little above norm it is necessary to replace rings.
7. Check up backlashes in joints of piston rings, having pushed a ring the piston (1 piston, 2 – a ring, 3 – a backlash). In 15 mm from a bottom edge of the cylinder backlashes should correspond to norm.
8. Check up a condition of rods external survey. Presence of deformations, a curvature of arc bed under the loose leaf in the bottom part and not parallelism of hairpins of fastening шатунной covers are not supposed. Notable люфта the piston finger in a rod should not be (a finger запрессовывается in a rod). The damaged rod is prepared in car-care centre or varies.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. New rings should correspond to dimensional group of the piston. All backlashes in rings should be checked up and correspond to norm.
2. Establish rings as it should be: маслосъемное a ring, bottom компрессионное, top компрессионное (this ring is established only by means of a dilator). The label on a ring should be turned upwards.
3. Sections top and bottom компрессионных rings differ (1 – marks N and Т, 2 – the rounded profile, 3 – конусный a profile).
4. Place joints of piston rings.
5. Grease the cylinder, press out rings the adaptation, it is correct сориентируйте and enter into the cylinder the piston in gathering with rings and a rod and the top loose leaf. Establish the bottom loose leaf in a cover, fix a cover nuts. Repeat procedure for other rods, turning коленвал. Tighten nuts with the set moment in 2–3 stages.
6. Establish all removed details (if repair was carried out without engine removal).
