Idling turns are regulated only on carburettor engines for the purpose of indemnification of deterioration of the engine, or after carburettor dismantling. The given procedure is not obligatory at maintenance service.

On инжекторных engines turns are regulated automatically and established only at replacement of units of fuel system.

Turns of idling and the ignition moment are recommended to be regulated together with the subsequent mutual updating.

Adjustment

The prevention

The corner of opening throttle заслонки is established industrially. The adjusting screw заслонки is closed заглушкой with which it is necessary to crack only in case of carburettor repair. Otherwise accuracy of other adjustments is broken, profitability falls and the neutralizer resource decreases.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Switch off all onboard consumers.
2. Connect a stroboscope and a tachometre.
3. Establish transmission in neutral position and disconnect the fan of system of cooling.
4. Warm up the engine. On cars 1987-89 press a pedal throttle заслонки to disconnect fast idling.
The prevention

Watch engine temperature, in case of an overheat stop.


5. Check up ignition installation, if necessary adjust.
6. Check up idling turns. If necessary adjust, rotating screw SAS1 near to throttle заслонкой the primary chamber.

ИНЖЕКТОРНЫЕ ENGINES

On these engines the system of automatic stabilisation of idling (ISC-system) is provided. For check of installation of turns of idling execute the following.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Switch off all onboard consumers. Establish transmission in neutral position.
2. Start the engine, after some minutes stop.
3. Insert a paper clip into a socket of the gauge of speed of rotation of the engine from conducting (it is included between a primary winding of the coil and the filter) and connect to a paper clip a tachometre.
4. Start the engine. Check up the ignition moment, if necessary adjust.
5. Finish turns to 2000–3000 rpm, later 5 сек translate the engine on idling. Later 2 mines check up tachometre indications.

DIESEL ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Switch off all onboard consumers. Establish transmission in neutral position.
2. Start the engine, after some minutes stop.
3. Connect a diesel tachometre.
4. Finish turns to 2000–3000 rpm, later 5 сек translate the engine on idling. Later 2 mines check up tachometre indications.
5. If necessary adjust, having released a counternut and rotating the screw. After the termination tighten a counternut.
