The compass has two buttons of adjustment: the button of adjustment of a compass and the button of adjustment of a magnetic deviation.
The prevention Do not try to spend compass adjustment if the car is in a geomagnetic storm.
After an accumulator detachment at carrying out of repair, check etc. do not forget to spend adjustment of a compass and adjustment of a magnetic deviation.
If in compass work there will be a failure, stop the car and switch off the engine. Then start the engine again, and the compass will return to normal work.
Do not establish on the car aerial and other elements which fasten by means of a magnet. It can badly affect compass work.
If the compass soon after adjustment again deviates a correct direction, address to experts for its check.
Do not try to spend adjustment of a compass or to read its instruments, simultaneously operating the car. Spend adjustment or take readings of a compass when the car costs on a place, or ask about it of the passenger sitting on a forward seat.
The compass can not show a correct direction in the areas listed more low as there the compass will be under the influence of geomagnetic anomalies.

The compass comes back to normal work when the car gets to area with normal geomagnetism.

| 1. Press the button of adjustment of a compass on 1–2 with, the index of a compass and a scale will disappear, and the point showing a direction of movement, will start to move slowly on a scale. |

2. After that slowly develop the car on 360 ° on the open area round which there are no other cars or buildings. It will automatically finish compass adjustment, and it begins to show a correct direction. If you cannot find a suitable place for a car turn, develop it on 90 ° in one party, and then on 90 ° in another, as is shown in drawing, or on the contrary. |
