2. The south index (S, W and Е designate the south, the West and the east accordingly)

The electronic compass shows a direction of movement of the car when a key in the ignition lock will turn in position АСС or ON.

The north index is illuminated, when the car moves in a north direction, and the south index is illuminated, when the car moves in a southern direction.
