Decoding of identification number of the car

Identification number of the car (VIN-number) is specified on a plate strengthened in the left part of a forward partition of salon and looked through through a windscreen. Figures and number letters mean the following

1. The Country-manufacturer
2. Model (for example Mitsubisi, Hyundai etc.)
3. A car category (passenger, cargo etc.)
4. Type of applied seat belts, a weight category of the car
5. Mark (or family) the car (for example Precis, Galant etc.)
6. A furnish / code price group (base, low, special etc.)
7. Body type
8. Volume of cylinders of the engine
9. An estimated figure or a letter (for verification of serial number, for the owner of value has no)
10. Factory (enterprise) on which the car has been made
11. Since 1985 12th figure specifies a transmission code which 5-unit serial number follows. Since 1986 all of 6 figures specify serial number.

It is beaten out on a frame near to the right back wheel.

The car certificate

The tablet with the certificate is strengthened on a rack of the left door.

The tablet with the certificate contains month and year of release, weight of the car in the equipped condition, loading on axes and identification number of the car.
