Adjustment of headrests

The lever of adjustment of height of a headrest:

At the left – type 1;

On the right – type 2

Soft headrests from above backs of seats can reduce risk of damage of a neck in case of blow behind.

TYPE 1 (SEATS WITH MANUAL ADJUSTMENT)

Headrests can be rejected on two positions forward. If to try to incline them further, they will return to initial position. Headrests cannot be lifted or lowered.

TYPE 2 (SEATS WITH AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT)

For reduction of risk of reception of a trauma in case of collision adjust height of headrests so that the centre of a headrest was up to standard of eyes.

To lift a headrest, pull it upwards. To lower a headrest, press on it, having taken away the handle of adjustment of position of a headrest in a direction specified by an arrow. After adjustment of height of a headrest press on a headrest to be convinced, that it is reliably fixed.

Removal of headrests

The adjustment handle:

At the left – type 1;

On the right – type 2

For removal of headrests press on the handle in a direction specified by an arrow, and pull a headrest upwards.

For installation of headrests in the beginning check up, that their forward party looked forward, then establish them on a seat back, having pressed on the adjustment handle, and lower them up to the end downwards that have worked fixing latches. Check up, that position of the adjusting handle was such, as is shown in drawing, and try to lift headrests upwards to check up, whether it is reliable they are fixed.

The prevention

Driving without headrests dangerously. Always operate the car with the established headrests. If headrests are not established, the probability of reception of a trauma in case of failure increases.

Headrests for forward and back seats differ under the form. At installation of headrests do not mix headrests of forward and back seats. Headrests of forward seats above and more thickly.
