1.33.4. Wheel replacement

THE GENERAL DATA

In a case if at you will lower a wheel, stop the car in a safe place and muffle the engine.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Include the alarm system, expose a sign warning about malfunction, on sufficient distance from the car. Ask to leave passengers salon.
	2. Establish the car on an equal, dense surface and put it on a lay brake. That the car has not swept after its raising by means of a jack, block (1) the lowered wheel, диагональио opposite to the lowered wheel (2).
3. Prepare a spare wheel, a jack, the handle of a jack and tools.
	4. Put a spare wheel under a body of the car near a jack; it will reduce risk of reception of a trauma if the car comes off a jack.
5. Use specially provided key for removal of a cap from nuts of fastening of a wheel.
	6. Turn off nuts of fastening of a wheel with the help гайковерта. Yet do not remove a nut (And – cars with steel disks, In – cars with cast aluminium disks)
7. Look subsection 1.33.2 for definition of a point of installation of a jack near the lowered wheel, then, establish a jack and lift the car so that the wheel has ceased to concern the earths.
	8. Remove nuts of fastening of a wheel, then remove a wheel.
	9. Remove fastening of the cap (1) closing nuts of fastening, on the other hand wheels.
	10. Remove a dirt from a surface of a nave of a wheel and from apertures for fixing bolts on a wheel, then, establish a spare wheel.
	11. Establish cap fastening on a spare wheel. Establish fastening so that its uvulas have got to corresponding cuts (1) on a wheel.
The prevention Fastening of a cap for a forward wheel has gold colour, and fastening for a back wheel has ребряный colour.
	12. On cars with стальж disks of wheels establish nuts of fastening of a wheel (the conic form) the conic end inside, then, fix their fingers that the wheel did not dangle.
	13. On cars with aluminium disks of wheels temporarily twirl raйки wheel fastenings (nuts with a flange) so that flanges concerned wheels and it did not dangle.
The prevention If all four wheels have been replaced with wheels with steel disks, use nuts of the conic form. Never grease nuts or bolts of fastening of wheels, otherwise, they will reliably not keep.
	14. Slowly lower the car then, gradually twirl all nuts of fastening of a wheel while they will not be tightened till the demanded moment of an inhaling. The demanded moment of an inhaling is equal 100–120 Н·м.
The prevention At crackdown of fastening of a wheel, do not make too big effort. For example, do not press a foot on a wrench, and do not use very long ломик or a tube for shoulder increase at use гайковерта.
15. Lower a jack and get it from below the car. Will put a jack back and establish the lowered wheel on an arm of a spare wheel. Repair the lowered tyre as soon as possible.
16. Check up pressure in the tyre. The recommended pressure is specified on the tablet established on an inside of a door of the driver.
The prevention Еспи the steering wheel vibrates at movement of the car after wheel replacement, address to experts for check of balancing of this wheel. For safety of driving try not to establish on the car of a wheel with tyres of different type or to use wheels of the non-standard size.
